Playa Conchal restaurants header Gracia

When browsing Playa Conchal restaurants, you’ll find that the options typically sweep from south to north – from Playa Conchal and Brasilito to Huacas, Flamingo, and Potrero. Don’t worry, though; only 3 miles separate the farthest between them!

There’s almost nothing better than a breakfast plate piled high, a lunch that fuels you for the afternoon, or a lingering evening meal served with a side of sunset and stars. And that’s where our favorite Brasilito and Playa Conchal restaurants come into play.

Sweeping from south to north – from the shores of Conchal and Brasilito north to Flamingo and Potrero – these restaurants welcome you to the flavors, textures, and typical fare of the Costa Rican coast.

To ease your planning, we’ve grouped them by area (Conchal/Brasilito, Huacas, Flamingo, and Potrero). That said, bear in mind that the furthest points from south to north are no more than 3 miles apart. (Want to explore even further afield? Check out our guides to Playa Flamingo restaurants and Tamarindo restaurants.)

And now, from south to north (and in alphabetical order):

Ander’s Restaurant (Brasilito)

Phone: (+506) 2654-6034

Beloved for its ultra-fresh seafood and Latin fusion cuisine, Ander’s Restaurant has climbed the ranks to become one of the best Playa Conchal restaurants. And for good reason: Not only is Ander’s known for its delicacies – everything from grilled snapper and fresh ceviche to jumbo shrimp and mango & red curry mahi-mahi – and the welcoming atmosphere can’t be beat.

Masala (Brasilito)

Phone: (+506) 2654-4125

The province’s first Indian dining experience, Masala is beloved for its modern Indian cuisine fresh from the tandoor oven, stovetop, and grill. In addition to excellent food and a very atmospheric setting (you’ll love the antiques and murals), Masala also offers a highly creative and complimentary cocktail and mocktail menu.

Papaya (Brasilito)

Phone: (+506) 2654-9125

When you’re seeking informal dining in a chill environment, look no further than Papaya. Known for its just-caught seafood and juicy steaks, as well as ample vegetarian options, this Brasilito favorite also serves up live music on Tuesday and Saturday evenings during the high season (December through April). We recommend the lobster with mango-chili salsa and the coconut dorado (mahi-mahi)! Reservations are recommended during the high season.

Soda Brasilito (Brasilito)

Phone: (+506) 2654-5597

Serving up local casados – a traditional Costa Rican plated dish that “marries” some of the country’s most traditional foods, including rice, beans, salad, fruit, and your choice of protein – Soda Brasilito offers a true taste of homemade, local cooking. Great for breakfast and our choice for cheap (but quality) Playa Conchal restaurants! Located in Brasilito in front of the soccer plaza.

Geckos (Huacas/Brasilito)

Phone: (+506) 8750-6428

Located at the intersection of Huacas and Brasilito, Geckos is known to serve up the “best street food in the area.” We’re talking sky-high burgers, choripan (an Argentinean take on the hot dog… kind of!), tacos, sandwiches, and more! Bring your hunger.

Restaurante Bohemia (Huacas)
