A lovely house, with plenty of space for the 9 of us. Very clean, beautiful gardens and pool, comfortable beds, all the supplies we needed in the kitchen and to go to the beach (chairs, cooler, cups etc). Alexa was very helpful and very responsive. A really wonderful experience.

awesome place to stay with a large group

We had a wonderful time and great stay with our friends the Murphys and Raglands. The property was beautiful and we loved seeing Iggy the Iguana and his friends around the grounds. The hospitality and friendliness of Blue Zone was A+ and they made you feel at home and as if they are truly friends and willing to help in whatever you need. Our vacation was truly a blessing with costa Rica having the most friendly people that we have encountered just about anywhere. We can't wait to return and highly recommend the accommodations and management service that we were so happy with!!

We had an amazing time here, Alexa was our point of contact and she went far and beyond. She was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of advice and answered every single question we had. The house was as described. Very clean and have everything you need to be like home. We absolutely recommend this place and will be back soon. We are in love with Costa Rica. Our three-generation family group of 13 had a great stay in Brasilito! The adventure recommendations we received from Alexandra and help arranging everything really made the trip the right kind of trip for everyone. Local food, an artesian ice cream parlor (David is a kind, creative ice-cream guru), Conchal beach, La Leona waterfall hike/tubing, Tío Leo coffee/chocolate experience…our list of activities had something for all the ages in our crew. We had a family reunion with 13 people and this property was great for us. Plenty of room for everyone, a pool to lounge around and walking distance to the beach and coffee shop. Families with children stayed in the main house and those without st at Ted in the guest house. Perfect!

Catalina Cove #3 was such a great place for a getaway with friends. Great space, beautiful surroundings, lots to do in minimum time and both houses were really well equipped. Looking forward to come back soon and enjoy the pool! Also Alexandra was a great host, very communicative and helpful!

Overall, the home was good and there was plenty of space with good layout for 3 families, the mattresses were all good quality (firm) and location was great. Brasilito and Conchal beach, a delicious bakery down the street and a supermarket with all basic necessities within walking distance. We used the towels and beach chairs provided.
It was missing charm, personalization and attention to detail. Slightly dated in furniture, (particularly the couches in living room) decor and appliances. During our stay a coffee maker and microwave had to be replaced. Our host Alexandre was quick to answer questions and resolve the issues we encounter but it was disappointing to deal with subpar cleaning of pool, bathrooms and an AC leaking onto guest bedroom mattress.

Over all great location close to restaurants and a small market. Down sides were : Getting to taxi’s was a hassle as sometimes the guard would not allow our driver to come up to the home. Kelly was my point of contact and when we arrived I asked for taxi services to take us a half mile down the road to a restaurant. Kelly quoted me $130 USD for the trip. The amount was stifling as it was not even a mile away .. I canceled the request for a taxi and we simply walked. For the remainder of the trip we arranged our own transportation with taxis and a trip to tamarindo approximately 30-40 min away was only $18 USD. Just thought it was mentionable as future guests may also prefer to skip using a middle person for this service. Lastly, we had asked for toilet paper as we were a large party & we were told that we were to purchase our own as the property did not function as a hotel.

We got an instant feeling of holiday and luxury as we checked in to this beautiful house. It was clean, spacious, with lovely colors and a huge beautiful garden. The swimming pool and the sun deck was perfect for lazy afternoons, and we all enjoyed the many floatables provided. I can highly recommend the house and I hope we can visit again one day. We had a wonderful week! Thank you!

Great place, good location to visit different beaches it the area. Really close to Conchal for golf. Easy access to supermarket. Great for quite family vacation.

This was a perfect home base for our beach vacation. We were a group of three families, a mixture of Ticos and visitors from the U.S. including kids aged 7-17. This residential community is so tranquil and feels really secure. It’s very close to Playa Flamingo and Playa Conchal, and only about 30 minutes’ drive to Playa Grande.

The property had a ton of space and adorable geckos! It was especially nice to have a separate guest house, and with two master bedrooms suites we all had privacy.

Everyone enjoyed the pool and we spent each evening relaxing on the patio. We did not want to leave, and will definitely be back someday!!

The house is large and spacious with the extra casita on the property. Although, there was no where to sit with friends that was comfortable. The couches and chairs felt like futons and were stiff.

We had a chef for four nights and the vent on the stove was broken as well as two sink faucets broke. The staff for the Airbnb were very responsive and fixed the sinks and not the hood. So each night our entire house was Smokey once we opened all the doors and windows it became better but then we fought the mosquitos.

The house is also extremely dark and not enough lights in the entire house. These are all minor compared the lifetime of memories we had on property with all of our friends and family.

There were monkeys in the trees in the yard and we all felt safe with the gatehouse and the staff at the gates. This house is great if your planning on not hanging out at the house long and make it a home base each day.

We had a great time at this property. The house is clean, spacious and perfect for large groups and kids. The landscaping is beautiful, mornings are the best with all the birds chirping (if you enjoy that). Kitchen is fully equipped, local supermarkets made it easy to avoid eating outside much. Def need a car to move around, playa Conchal is much better than Brasilito. The only thing I would add to make it perfect is a hammock under the trees in the back and maybe a pair of bicycle to make quick tours around. But in general, easy communication with host, safe, private and quiet neighborhood, great home for families.

Great quiet place, we enjoyed and certainly willl be back

Beautiful home and guest room. Enough space for a large group. The "queen" sized beds are more like full sized so keep that in mind while planning. The beach closest to the home is not great. Lots of horse poop, dark sand, and random dogs. But you can easily drive 10 min to gorgeous beaches. We has a couple little issues come up and the host did their best to try and remedy the problems as quickly as possible. Also the main gate to the catalina cove was timely to get checked into due to language barriers. We even had printed off reservation forms and they would not let us pass for a good 20 min or so until we found someone who spoke both spanish and english. They were not kidding about the howler monkeys they sound like a pack of dogs at 5am every day! Overall this place was wonderful and I would definitely recommend.

The property is easy to find and access. The Liberia airport is one hour driving time away, the San Jose airport instead five hours on not always well-maintained roads. The property is in 15-minute walking distance to the Brasilito beach and about 30 minutes to the much nicer Playa Conchal. A supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants are accessible without the need of a car. However, a car is still required, to carry chairs (provided) to the beach or venture further away from the home. Brasilito has a car rental agency but car availability at short notice is not assured.
We did not meet any representatives of the property management company, however the communication response time was good, and all instructions received were clear.
There are two houses on the property that are separated by a multiple vehicles’ car port. With thirteen people in our party, it distributed the guests, reduced the noise, and provided a higher degree of privacy, except one bedroom in the main house that is an open loft facing the living/dining area, and as such is noisy if you are trying to sleep while others are watching TV.
The houses are in a secure location, are ample, with basic unsophisticated and dated furnishings but with two separate well-stocked kitchens (except the knives that despite a prior guest comment have yet to be replaced by ones that are sharpened), surrounded by spacious well-maintained gardens and swimming pool (except for some loose tiles) that looks bigger on the listing picture than it is. The bathroom hot water temperature is good. The provided shampoo quantity is insufficient for a week’s stay. The internet speed is slow but still adequate, the range limited to the house and close surrounding area. The air conditioning was good except for one bedroom in the smaller house, where it was not functioning. A ‘daring’ racoon (now called Chester

Our group of 11 adults had a fabulous time. Plenty of space. Beautiful landscaping. The house came fully equipped. We brought our own spices for cooking and also found some basics like salt and pepper already there. There was a small welcome basket to get us started as well. Their was plenty of pots and pans however the appliances could use some upgrading. The coffee pots were really slow, the toaster only toasted one side, the broiler on the oven did not work. The knives were very dull. No worries if you don’t plan to cook and we improvised and made it all work out. Minor issues overall. We had a housekeeper which was a lovely surprise twice in the week. The grounds keeper also came once or twice and the pool was serviced once during the week. The biggest challenge we faced was finding the place. The gatekeeper for the subdivision didn’t speak English. The house was only found because the property management sign was recognized but we weren’t entirely sure we were at the right house until we tried the entry code. Although the beds were not hotel quality, they were comfortable enough and the house had ample ac units. I would definitely rent again. The house was close to all the beaches. A car is definitely needed to get around.

Perfect place for your holidays. The house is hugeeee and the pool was amazing. The location is awesome to go to all beautiful beaches. Communication with the host is quick and accurate. Definitely coming back.

Las instalaciones son magníficas, tal como se muestra en las fotografías. Nos acomodamos 13 personas sin inconveniente alguno. Impecablemente pulcro todo. El trato y la atención recibida en todo momento, insuperable. A modo de ejemplo, se rompió la puerta de un armario la cual no notificamos porque no supimos cómo hacerlo, pero así y todo al otro día aprecio un Señor de mantenimiento a repararla ya que fue advertido por la Señora de la limpieza. Sin duda, 100% recomendable.

We absolutely loved staying at this estate with my adult brothers and their families. We were able to fit 12 people comfortably. My family of 4 stayed in the Casitas which was perfect. There is a lovely pool that we spent many afternoons at. We could walk to get coffee and see the beach. A house cleaner tidied up each day. I was quite smitten with a neighbors domesticated sweet pig who comes to visit if you feed her. She lay at our feet around the large outdoor dining table where we spent much time sharing meals and playing cards. But the best part was the service of Bluewater. They were so responsive, friendly and spoke English perfectly. Whenever we needed them they were graciously ready to serve. Once we were out exploring an hour away from the home and got our car stuck in the mud. We called Bluewater and they came and pulled us out of the mud with amazing friendly attitudes. If that weren’t enough, later we checked out of the property to go to another part of Costa Rica and didn’t realize we had forgotten our passports in the safe until we were almost at the airport. Becky from Bluewater went to the property, found our passports and arranged to fly them to us on a commuter flight. She only charged us $6 for the service! I very much recommend this place!

wonderful time here with 12 family members, including small children. We all loved the pool, and the house and casita are great. Well stocked with utensils, TVs, inside and outside gathering areas, great location. The casita was great for a family of four. Brittany, the pet pig, was a frequent visitor, and Lucy's Restaurant on the beach is a short walk away. Do it!

We were 15 people staying in the home for a week. It easily fit all of us and then some - such a spacious home and property. The home is so, so beautiful and we really enjoyed spending time out by the pool. The cleaning service was great and the entire home was clean and well-stocked. Really, only have great things to say about the home. Additionally, Marcelo and everyone at Blue Water helped make our trip truly special. He made coordinating transportation easy, as we arranged pick up/drop off at the airport in addition to taxi services to Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo. He also helped us coordinate trips to Hacienda Guachepelin and on a catamaran boat expedition. We also were able to eat dinner watching the sunset on the beach thanks to his help. He made this trip easy and beyond memorable. So, the house is great and the opportunities that come with the house are great too. I would highly recommend this home to anyone - it will make your stay in Costa Rica very memorable!

We were a group of 14 family members (all adults) that stayed for a week in the main house and guest house (6 BR's + loft). The description and photos do not do this property justice. This is a very spacious, relatively new property. It is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained inside and out. The kitchen, living area, and bedrooms in the main house are very large and roomy. We were there for a wedding and one evening we had 20 people for dinner and there was ample room for cooking and dining (we moved the dining table and chairs along with some extra dishes to the main house for the evening so we could seat 20). There is a large gas grill just outside the kitchen. There is a phone for free local calls. In the main house, two of the bedrooms are master style with king beds (one very large with a spa tub and the other nice size with batch) . The other two BR's had twin bed's and a connecting bath. Would have been great for kids, but we were all adult couples so we pushed the beds together. There is a half-bath just outside the rooms so you have a backup for the shared bath if needed. All the showers were very large. The loft is over the kitchen and has spiral stairs. There was one futon bed in the loft -- not great for the two guys we had there. We called Bluewater and they brought us a double airbed which worked out very well. The guest house was a full 2 BR 2 1/2 bath house with a nice living and kitchen area. Open and spacious and suitable for it's size. The bedrooms were nice but not quite as big/nice as the masters in the main house. The caretakers, Miguel and Etelvina, were on the property the entire time and did a great job of maintenance and cleaning. They speak very little English but if don't know Spanish you you can get by with gestures and some basic words. If you get stuck you could just call Bluewater and they would take care of it. If you speak Spanish, you will find them to be warm and delightful people. The staff at Bluewater Properties were fantastic. They made arrangements for airport shuttles for late arriving guests (in real-time), found us an airbed, addressed a small issue with the WiFi internet access (which BTW worked great), and took care of whatever came up. Great, helpful folks. Having done some research, this appeared the best option for large groups in the Brasilito - Playa Conchal area. After staying there, we can confirm that this property is by far the best.

Went here in November with a big group of friends (12 of us), used both houses. The place was great, in a gated area so I felt safe. The house and grounds were very well maintained. Had housekeepers daily as well as a pool guy. The pool was one of the best features and we were out there every morning. The managment company was very accomodating, helping with tours (you have to go zip lining!). We took advantage of the grocery shopping option. When we arrived the place was stocked. The location was great, but you do need a car. We went to Conchal and Flamingo beaches, both pretty close. You could walk to one of the beaches, but since we had a car we just drove ... especially since parking is free. I would definitely recommend this house.

11 of us recently spent a week here and the concierge Mateo was amazing. He was able to book things at a moment's notice, to give us excellent advice and suggestions, and was always pleasant and enjoyable to deal with. Everyone at the office was kind and professional, too, but Mateo was the highlight of our stay
