Awesome views!! Great for family retreat. Feels like upscale hotel/ but it’s all to yourself. Pool is spectacular in the evenings with the sunset. Very comfortable home .

Beautiful home in the hills of the gated community of Mar Vista. Incredible view with great room and retractable glass doors to enjoy the fresh air at night. Everything about the home was perfect besides the pool being to cold to use. Great location, mins from the markets, restaurants and most importantly, Flamingo Beach. The Singing Chef was an incredible touch and a must! Only other suggestion is make sure you have specific directions in advance to get to the home. Maps will take you through congo trail and not being local, I was reluctant and unsure of driving through the water. We ended up turning around taking another route which lost us 3 hours of enjoying our first day there.

This home was extremely beautiful and is a great location depending on what you’re looking for. The more interactive area is about 30 minutes away in tamarindo, more of a bar scene. But this is a great location to hang out, be in nature and still be close enough to the party scene

This house is gorgeous! The view is even better!

The house was very nice, great pool and view. It is in a neighborhood and up on a hill. You will need a car or transportation. There isn't anything you can walk to, but there is a restaurant and a gym you can walk to that is 15 min's inside the neighborhood. Alejandro's was so great at everything we asked for, she helped with van rides, tours and transpiration. Ask for Alberto! We got a chef from her to come cook one night and that was great out on the patio of the house.

This home is incredible ! A spectacular view, large kitchen, comfortable beds and pura vida at its core. So lovely. 10/10 will be back

"A wonderful week away!"

We just returned from a wonderful week away in Casa Vistas in Mar Vista. This was the perfect place for a vacation for a group of family/friends. There were seven of us there and yet it felt like we had plenty of space and room. Every bedroom was decorated beautifully and was fully equipped with everything you could need. There are sections of the deck and guest house that offer a little oasis if you want a quiet spot. We all commented on how the design of the house worked incredibly well for soundproofing. You could be in any room of the house and not hear the guests in the other areas. Another shoutout to the comfortable beds, usually a complaint for some of my family but not here. So many wonderful things to add but this house starts and ends with the view. It was breathtaking and we never seemed to stop taking photos from sun up to sunset. The large patio by the pool was our favorite spot for meals, morning coffee, late night drinks or hanging out in the pool. There is so much to do in the area and we often struggled just to leave the house! The hosts left lots of information so we knew where everything was in the house and community. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook for yourself or group. We stayed in one night and cooked a large meal and everything we needed was there. We were not planning to get a rental car but the hosts highly recommended one. We are so glad we did. The roads were great right in town and it was wonderful for getting to the grocery store, any of the beautiful beaches nearby, or one of the great restaurants just five minutes away. Waze worked great to help us get around. We also rented a golf cart thinking we would use that more but we only used it once to go to dinner at Gracia (we liked Gracia so much we went twice)! We ate out a lot and did not have a bad meal while in Guanacaste. From Sentido Norte to Gracia – incredible meals, great staff, and just spectacular sunsets. We also enjoyed Patagonia Del Mar and even hung out for a sunny afternoon in a poolside cabana after our beach walk. Our favorite meal of the week was at a little SODA right around the corner from Patagonia. Our only regret is that we didn’t find it earlier in the week. Highly recommend this home for a week vacation – or longer. There was so much to do we wish we had been able to stay a few extra days. Highly recommend the hiking trails within Mar Vista (right next to Gracia) but could be tough for anyone a little out of shape or with bad knees. If that is the case, walk one of the many beaches just minutes away. The team with blue zone experience were helpful before and during our visit. They helped us set up day trips (the catamaran with Lazy Lizard did not disappoint) and helped us get the perfect reservation for the sunset at Sentido Norte. One note – the sun set in September at 5:30 pm so all the reservations I made were too late and Olber jumped in and got them moved so we could enjoy the sunsets at dinner. Alexandra answered all our questions promptly and had great advice. On our first night we arrived later than expected and the group was pretty hungry. After a long day of travel, we had not had time to stop to pick up any groceries. Alexandra coordinated having pizza delivered to the guard house for us. All in all – would not change a single thing about our week. Even the weather cooperated and gave us lots of warm sunshine despite being the rainy season. Casa Vistas is a beautiful oasis in a warm and welcoming community.

This was the perfect place for a couples or large family vacation. We were three couples but the villa could have easily accommodated four couples. The views was amazing and the area was easy to navigate. We used the hiking trails within the community. The home was well appointed with everything you need to cook, go to the beach or relax at the villa. There was construction noise during the week. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Overall, it was a great stay.

This was a great property for a family vacation. Very clean and comfortable and the pool and views are amazing! We would stay there again for sure!

Gorgeous villa, breathtaking views, lovely pool. 10/10 would recommend.

Some recommendations if you are staying here: Hire a private chef for some dinners or breakfast. We went with @chefsebastiancr and this was easily the best part of our experience. Also, you NEED to get a rental car to get around. You can have them delivered to the villa for convenience.

Lastly, if the electricity goes out (happened twice for us), the main circuit breaker is actually outside, close to the villa driveway entrance. Resetting that should work.

Overall an AMAZING villa — you will not regret your decision to stay here.

Great place with a great view. Only downside is there was lots of construction at the current moment but it was great!

The home is lovely and we enjoyed our time there immensely. The bedrooms are generous in size and have everything needed. Kitchen was terrific, large and bright. The patios and pool are the centerpiece of the property and are fabulous with a killer view of the pacific. We throughly enjoyed our time at this property. We visited with our 5 adult sons. The negative was the water went out for and entire day which was difficult. Management company also argued about the number of housekeeping visits. It was supposed to be three, according to the listing, but they only came twice and the first time left without finishing b/c water was out.

We loved the house. Everything was clean and perfect. We had an issue with the internet and they were there to fix it immediately. Great Service!

Four of us stayed here for ten days. We absolutely loved the place. It was amazing - though we wished more people were with us as the space is big enough for many more.

Walking in for the first time - seeing the jaw dropping view of the ocean - we looked at one another and asked why we would ever leave.

We spent a lot of time in the pool, with the huge wooden folding doors open to kitchen and living room. We ate meals on the beautiful wooden table.

The outdoor private shower area is lovely. The furniture and bedding was super comfortable. The creature comforts are all there - modern televisions, efficient remote controlled air conditioning in every room, solid kitchen appliances and laundry machines.

The Brasilito area is probably the best place to visit in Costa Rica. There are many places to hike, great beaches, scuba, snorkeling, zip lines, surfing, and many restaurants with a large variety of cuisine. We liked the Indian restaurant (Masala) the best, but had many great meals. Gracia, which is in the same community as the house, was also fantastic.

All in all, this week was everything a vacation was supposed to be. Our family enjoyed every minute. The accommodations were the main reason it was so relaxing and comfortable.
