Unfortunately, the communication was not the best w the host. We had a catered company coming Friday night and requested the authorization since Wednesday, once the catering arrived the security people did not let them in stating they did not receive any authorization. This happened several time during our stay there, I think there should be a better way to coordinate the entrance, we will have taxis, food delivered and had ti wait forever until we get an approval from the hosting company and then the security company stated never received the approval. Very stressful situation, hopefully they can figure it out because otherwise this place is a gem

My wife and I got married on this trip. She is from Costa Rica and I am from the states. We hardly ever have the opportunity to have our families together. This house was big enough to make that happen for us and we had an amazing time with great memories! Thank you!

House was incredible and communication was great. Security at the gate is a bit much to deal with but wouldn’t stop me from booking again.

The house is absolutely amazing. The pictures do not do the house justice, it’s far more beautiful, in person. The staff, especially Helene, awesome and amazing.. the chef OMG!!!!!!! everything was so scrumptious and delicious.. you have to get the chef, with your stay, you won’t be disappointed….they have the most amazing people, in place, to take care of, the smallest of details…. We were, a cousin, of 17 , and we had the best time… ever!!!!! Book this place, we literally, can’t wait, to go back!!!!! Love you guys!!!!

My group of 10 enjoyed spending our
vacation in this home! It was more beautiful in-person. We spent a lot of time in or near the pool area. Helen’s breakfast everyday was perfect! She was so sweet & made sure we had everything we needed. She also spruced up our rooms/bathrooms. Olber/Kelly were very communicative & helped me book all my group’s transportation to and from Liberia airport, Playa Avellanas/Lola’s & Tamarindo. We also booked the all day excursion which we throughly enjoyed (we recommend it!). Wilbert was our driver our entire trip. He was patient, kind & always at least 15 mins early. We also booked golf carts for our last day to explore the community. Although the Beach Club was unexpectedly closed, we were able to spend time at the restaurant & beach at the JW Marriott nearby. I would recommend this place & Blue Zone to anyone!

One con: The shared bathrooms are exposed to the outside so there were mosquitoes & lizards in one of the showers.

This was probably one of the best airbnb experiences I've ever had! Place was even better than the pictures, felt really safe and the daily breakfast and housekeeping gave it a luxury Hotel feel. Would definitely recommend. The host was extremely responsive and helped with transportation and excursions throughout our stay.

Our family of 12 loved the house...the hosts were very responsive when we reached out. We enjoyed the access to the Beach Club and utilizing the amenities at the JW Marriott. Helen is an absolute gem...great breakfast each morning!

Casa Oceana was a perfect house for our large family's vacation week. We made constant use of the pool area and adjoining kitchen. The huge TV room gave the teens and younger kids a space to relax and hang out together when they needed a break.
Hellen made our stay so much more enjoyable and delicious than it would have been without her! Her breakfasts were amazing and she went out of her way to set a lovely table and keep us fed and happy every day!
The nearby Beach Club and ocean were also highlights of our stay. Golf carts are necessary unless you have cars or bikes, to get there.
The setting of Casa Oceana is beautiful. We observed and heard monkeys and birds right outside our open doors!

Great looking place that was exactly as advertised. Communication was thorough, timely and the daily breakfast was definitely a pleasant bonus! Wifi does need to be a bit stronger. Will definitely stay here again!

Casa Oceana was beyond what we could have imagined for our family of 17! Our trip was a 7 day 60th birthday celebration for my husband, Joe. Costa Rica has always been on his bucket list! This place was spacious, squeaky clean and more beautiful than what pictures could capture. Our concierge, Olber, was responsive from beginning to end and so very helpful in arranging our transportation needs and making recommendations. Our breakfast chef, Helena, was awesome in every way and even helped us in a medical emergency (our surfer son was stung by a sting ray) in finding the community urgent care facility. Yes, there was construction in the area, but it didn't bother us one bit. We highly recommend Casa Oceana for any large get-a-way!

The house was soooo beautiful! I booked this for my 40th birthday for a group of 12 and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The housekeeper Hellen was like family by the end of the trip and she probably made the best scrambled eggs of my life.

Stayed in Casa Oceana for a bachelorette celebration and the experience was absolutely incredible. The weeks/months leading up to our stay, Alejandro's airbnb team were actively answering questions and providing recommendations. Kelly assisted us with virtually everything! Helen, the house mom has a heart of gold and assisted in creating an even better experience. The location felt safe and secluded, we needed to take cabs into town for most of the excursions we had planned but it was worth it to get to stay in a luxurious airbnb while still being able to explore tamarindo. I highly recommend the space and can't wait to be back! thank you casa oceana and team, see you soon!

Casa Oceana was a great location for our first family reunion after three years. We were thirteen people finding the house clean and spacious with a lovely outdoor seating area around the pool become the centre point of the house. Housekeeper Helena was wonderful, providing breakfasts for all every morning and kindly putting aside platefuls for late morning people like me. The rented golf carts are a must you can't do without if not renting cars - they took us to the Beach Club, tennis courts, beach and the Marriott. if there was one thing that could have been better, it would be service at the golf course and the quality of the equipment at an otherwise beautiful course. But overall, a great place for family bonding time with lots of activity nearby! And we really liked Lola's on the beach! Thanks!

This was my first time staying in an Airbnb. I rented the house for 14 guests in March of this year for an October stay.

Let me start by saying that the concierge service is wonderful. They answered every question I had and always accommodated my requests.

The concierge arranged the shuttle service to and from the airport, check-in was easy and the driver even stopped to let us get lunch on our way to the house.

The housekeeper, Helen was always pleasant and helpful. She made a wonderful breakfast every morning, always remembering how each person liked their eggs and any other special requests we had. She is truly the highlight of this Airbnb! Helen gets 5 stars all around.

The location of the house definitely warrants having golf carts. The concierge let me know this information upon renting the house and I rented 4 carts from Paradise rental. They were parked in the driveway when we arrived, ready for use.

The Marriott resort is located in Pinillia Hacienda. We got a day pass for $70 and spent a day at the resort. $35 of the day pass goes towards consumables. It was definitely worth it for our “lazy” day where we had nothing planned.

Now, like with everything there were a few cons. The powder room on the first floor was inoperative. With 6 other bathrooms in the house this wasn’t a problem, but every bathroom was assigned to guests and there was no notice from the concierge before or during arrival that the bathroom was out of service. As I said before, not a problem, but if the house isn’t as advertised let renters know beforehand.

The second con was that the beach club was closed during October for renovations. (Definitely not Bluezones problem. ) I had planned on having lunch at the beach club knowing that breakfast came with the house and we had dinners planned throughout our stay. Needless to say, we learned to pivot for lunch.

This looks even better than it did in pictures, wow! Great location, secure and quick easy drive to Tamarindo. Helen is amazing and we already miss her breakfast! If we ever get the opportunity to come back to Costa Rica, we will certainly stay here.

The house doesn’t come with a safe, so I advise locking valuables in your luggage and carry the key!

Communication could of been better.

Overall this was a nice, safe and clean house!!! Although, there was a slight ant problem in the kitchen!!

There was a small bobcat who continuously stayed in the backyard! I’m unsure if some of the other guess have been feeding it or not. The bobcat wasn’t a threat though. Most of the time, it stayed about 20 feet away hiding under a chair.

Was just like staying at a hotel with the housekeeper being on the premises, but with more privacy!

BOOK THIS PLACE!

Myself and 8 of my bridesmaids went to this air bnb for my bachelorette trip. The communication of the staff from the time of booking to the time of our departure was superb. They helped us organize excursions, organize private chefs, and organized transportation to and from the airport.

The airbnb was clean, safe and as pictured in the photos. The housekeeper, Hellen, was simply an angel! She prepared breakfast for us every morning cleaned up our house and made our beds.

The only complaint that we had was that the Wi-Fi was spotty during our entire trip which caused us to have to use our Mobile data. The airbnb is also about 40 minutes from any excursion so factor that time into your planning.

When I come back to Costa Rica, I will be staying at this property or any of the blue water properties. Job well done!

Great great experience!! I didn’t want to leave house was everything and more!

This villa is amazing!!! A group of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids ages 5 and under) of us went on a family trip and it was just as described. Beautiful inside and out! Helen, the housekeeper, was quite possibly the best part of the whole experience. She was incredibly sweet, helpful, and made amazing breakfasts (her gallo pinto is to die for!!). The only issue we had was the power went out on Wednesday night for 2 hours. Apparently that is common for this part of Costa Rica. Other than that, the villa was gorgeous. Make sure to reserve golf carts as the house is very remote. It’s a 5 minutes drive to the beach club or the JW Marriott, but about a 45 minute walk on a road with twists and turns and mostly without sidewalks. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!

This property is so amazing! Definitely will need golf carts to get around. Hellen was so nice and her breakfasts were delicious. Would highly recommend. The catamaran excursion was a lot of fun.

This trip was the best I have ever taken and it was largely in part of this Airbnb. Hellen, our housekeeper, was absolutely incredible and did everything in her power to make our stay perfect. The staff was able to book excursions and shuttles for us at any time of the day and we had all of our needs met. For the price this place is a STEAL and the location and proximity to the beach club is perfect. We rented this house for our bachelorette trip and we’re able to decorate and easily make it feel like home for our 5 day stay. The only recommendation I would make is to secure golf carts for the trip! We had 3 for our large group and they were so helpful with getting to the beach club and also exploring the grounds of the resort and getting to see all the wildlife. I would also absolutely recommended doing the catamaran excursion for a day because it was by far the best day of our trip and well worth the price. Overall, a 10/10 experience that I will never forget!

Amazing vacation for our group of 12

Our week was amazing and was the perfect place for our big group of 20. They accomodated us with a couple rollaways for our extra people and we still had plenty of room. Helen was absolutely the icing on the cake as she took great care of us and her breakfasts were amazing. The beach club was so nice to have access to and we spent a lot of time there renting surfboards and just enjoying the great big beach.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spacious for our family - 8 adults and 8 kids. We loved animal watching in the backyard including howler monkeys, hummingbirds, deer, toucans and many other birds. It was an easy drive to the beach club with easy beach access, nice pool and great food/drinks. Helen cooked delicious breakfasts and kept the house tidy for us (and we loved her!!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

This Airbnb was absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I would recommend is to be sure to reserve a gold cart PRIOR to arrival. We assumed there would be enough to rent once arriving; however, there were none available which made transportation around the grounds much more difficult. The breakfast made by Hellen was amazing and the immunities on the grounds were immaculate!

We had a great stay! Helen was the house attendant and she was awesome. All of my excursions were coordinated with ease prior to arrival. Transportation to and from excursions was always punctual. The excursions required lengthy travel but it comes with being in the location. This was communicated before booking the excursion so it wasn’t a surprise. The tour guides were very personable and friendly. We hired a chef that the host agency referred, which made it an even more of a relaxing experience. If the pool was a little warmer, that would’ve been perfect. Overall, Costa Rica was amazing. Pura vida!!

the house was beautiful. Helen was sweet and helpful the only person that made it a negative experience was Olmer. i called him to let him know the breakfast amount was not enough because for a family of 7 we would get 1/3 of the papaya . his response to me was " this is not a breakfast buffet" and a few minutes later he hung up on me. i called him back and he did not answer. at no moment was I rude or disrespectful to him and he did send more food for breakfast the following day but had i known he was going to be this rude i would have not paid 1200$ / night.

the house is incredibly beautiful , helen is sweet and always willing to help and all the other staff was nice and courteous with the exception of OLMER .

The best vacation home I've ever stayed at - period! The house was perfect for our group of 18 people. Breakfast was included and was very delicious. Blue Water Properties went above and beyond answering our questions, providing information about nearby restaurants, booking all of our excursions. I cannot recommend them enough! The house itself is unbelievably gorgeous I never wanted to leave. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is gated inside the Hacienda Pinilla. The house comes with everything you need - a wonderful pool, bbq, media room, laundry, well equip kitchen, spacious rooms. The staff at Blue Water (Allan, Becky, and Andres) were always very responsive!

The pool is the most impressive part of the house and what makes it even better is that you can slide open the kitchen doors & master bedroom doors to make it feel like you are living outside! The large kitchen gave us plenty of room for cooking and eating, the media/family room was a great place to gather to play games in the evenings! Both master suites are spacious with great views of the pool and foliage. The showers for both Jack & Jill bathrooms are open air. We had an amazing time at this property and spent so much of our vacation playing in and lounging around the pool, it was pure paradise! Our housekeeper was great and kept the place looking wonderful around all of us as well! The Beach Club in Hacienda Pinilla is a must visit and try to stay on Friday evening for the sunset! We also enjoyed surf lessons, a couple of dinners out and shopping in Tamarindo which is a quick 20 minute drive from the house! We can't wait to go back!
