The house itself was 10/10. All photos depict the house perfectly and the sunset views are even more stunning in person. Would we stay here again? That depends on the condition of the road and the amount of construction taking place nearby. As previous reviews have stated, the walk up is a bit intense especially with the sun beating down on you. It seems there is only 1 outfit in town that has gas powered golf carts avail & they were not in the greatest condition. We had to make multiple trips up and down the hill to get our group to town & back home each day. Apparently the 6 seater gas cart isnt powerful enough for the hill. Due to all of the construction taking place, the road is in absolute dire condition due to the steady stream of cement/construction vehicles going back and forth all day long starting st 5:30am, so do not plan on sleeping in either. None of these complaints are the fault of the property management but I think it is only fair that people know what to expect.

It's a beautiful place. We only got to experience one sunset up there but it was a stunner! (the other two were great but we were on different beaches.

I spent at least six hours in the pool, we spent a lot of time on the patio around the pool, and had a private chef come in and do dinner for us in the dining room one night, as well. Everything was excellent! We'd definitely choose this place again.

Overall we liked the house & enjoyed our stay. Location is great, as others have said it isn’t walkable to town. Not an issue for us since we had a car & enjoyed the view far more than the “convenience” of being able to walk to restaurants/beach. We loved waking & sitting outside to watch the wildlife/ocean/surfers.
The house is nicely equipped/furnished. The beds are comfortable & appreciated the beach chairs/towels.
There were a couple concerns that I felt were poorly handled.
1. After booking I asked if they had a pack & play available. (I know the listing doesn’t say they do so there was no expectation on our part) but was surprised when they replied yes for $60. Not a lot but felt it was petty.
2. Now this one is more of an issue. The first morning we discovered a BAT in one of the bedrooms downstairs. We (luckily) weren’t using the room. I cringe/fear the thought of our kids sleeping in there. When I notified them there was no apology just we’ll send someone to check.

Absolutely breathtaking views! the pictures do not do this home justice. The home is immaculate, had all amenities we needed for our stay. Very friendly and professional service. highly recommend this home!!!

Very pretty view and great house! Very clean and well worth it, but it is up a giant hill so the walk was not easy. Ubers are definitely needed at least to go up.

We really enjoy staying at Casa De La Perla! The house had a gorgeous
infinity pool with a view of the ocean at Playa Tamarindo. There was great A/C and a well- equipped kitchen. We had plenty of room for 3 couples and each bedroom had a view of the beach. Would stay there again!

We had a great visit to Tamarindo!! The accommodations were great and had an awesome view and pool. Plenty of room for the whole family. Hope to visit again in the future. Pura Vida!!

We loved our stay. The pool and the view are amazing. Absolutely gorgeous. Relaxing in the pool while watching the sunset over the Pacific is stunning. The house itself is also beautiful - all the rooms have a view and are very comfortable. As others have noted, it's a short but steep walk down to the beach. We had a big age range (21 to 65) but we are all in good shape and were able to walk up and down, which we did many times. If you are not in good shape, consider renting a golf cart or other vehicle. The pool and the view make it so worth it!

The house and views are amazing. The house was exactly as advertised, clean and easily accommodated 4 couples. It is my favorite rental so far and I hope to go. back.

Great place to stay for privacy with a beautiful home and view. Spent good time in the infinity pool. Home is extremely well kept and clean.
Downside is that the road is not in good location. Difficult to be able to walk where you want to go.

The staff were so responsive at all hours. the property was great and the view is amazing. If your driving use a 4x4. Seriously! I'd love to return.

Extremely happy with staying at Alejandro's place! The Airbnb was spacious for our 8 guests. The pool views were stunning. The location is ideal as it is a ~15 min walk to the center of downtown (although it is on a hill so wear walking shoes!). Everything was very clean and updated. We felt safe in the area and walking to/from the downtown. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Incredible experience from start to finish. Our hosts were very responsive and helped us with golf cart rental and car rental. The golf carts were waiting for us when we arrived and helpful for getting to and from the beautiful town in just a few minutes. We spent basically the whole time enjoying the incredible view from the infinity pool, the most comfortable front row view of the sunset. The pictures do not oversell the place one bit, and you feel as though you’re completely alone on the hillside with how private and tucked this home is. Would highly recommend!

Could not rave more about how fantastic this place was. Stayed here with a group of six friends and enjoyed every minute of it. A bit of a hike walking to and from the restaurants and beach because of the incline, but we considered that our workout for the day. Amazing hosts, amazing views and amazing place!

Our family had an amazing stay at Casa de la Perla. We had everything we needed to start our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots/pans/glasses/dishwasher/toaster oven/etc!

Whenever I was unsure, I reached out and I had an answer to my questions quickly - Olber was informative, professional, friendly, and quick to respond! He set up our transport to and from the airport. Our driver, Wilber, was the amazing!

The views from the infinity pool were the best in Tamarindo!! We loved our stay in this home!

We booked two gas powered golf carts and got up and down the hill with no issues.

Casa de la Perla was a great home for our stay in Tamarindo. We comfortably slept 4 couples in the 4 bedrooms at the house and really enjoyed the infinity pool overlooking Tamarindo and the ocean. The drive up to the house and the driveway itself are not particularly easy but overall we had a wonderful stay!

What a wonderful stay, i’ve stayed at many bnbs and this one is my favorite so far!

Can’t say enough about this place. Stunning Sunsets from the pool! Need to remember that when you visit it’s Costa Rica so it comes with all kinds of wildlife. Tamarindo is full of things to do and the people are amazing!

We can’t rave enough about how stunning the place was. Best view in all of Tamarindo!! The place was very comfortable, super clean, and the extra amenities they included (beach chairs, cooler, speaker) were such a wonderful extra :)

What a great place to stay in Tamarindo! The views from the pool and patio can’t be beat and it’s just far enough up the hillside to be out of the noise from the main road along the beach. If you want to drive to town, it’s only a couple minutes, and maybe 10 minutes or so to walk.

The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had and put together a great list of local recommendations for activities, guides etc. This home will be at the top of our list for our next trip.

The place sits up a hill on a road that is in poor condition but it is manageable in most cars and provides a good walk at the end of the day.

We absolutely loved the place, however, it was disappointing to learn that we had to replace anything that we used. I can understand if something was way overused or wasted, but not the use of toilet paper and dish soap. Those are things that should be included in the price. Why should I have to replace dish soap when I´ve only used a few drops. In order to replace the dish soap, I would have had to buy a whole new bottle of dish soap. That just doesn´t seem right or even make sense. In essence, I am restocking the home with more than I used. The pool was amazing! The view was spectacular! We loved the rooms and the space! However, I would not stay there again due to the fact that we were asked to replace anything that we used: hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper.

I had an amazing experience at Casa de la Perla with breathtaking views. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the scenery truly is! The space was incredibly comfortable and was a perfect fit for our group of five.

Casa de la Perla was amazing and worth every penny. I went for my 40th Birthday my brother and 2 cousins. we each had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was spotless. The views from the pool were beautiful. The sunset from the house was also beautiful. There were barely to no flies or ants which are everywhere in Tamarindo. Air conditioners were strong and did the job and more. I really can't say anything bad about the house.

One recommendation is to book gas golf carts because it's humid and the walk is uphill, which will leave you sweating because of the humidity. We didn't book them on time so we just took ubers and taxis down to the main road which were super cheap anyway. The gas golf carts are a hot commodity and need to be booked in advance. Don't get the electric or try to because they won't rent them to you know where the house is and they're not strong enough to make it uphill.

Overall it's a 5 star house and would stay there again.

Where do I start, since the first contact my experience was outstanding. Andres and Becky were so responsive, accommodating and flexible. The home has a view like no other, perfectly located for guests to enjoy breathtaking sunsets . All furniture is beautiful and the home is very well equipped and honestly has anything you would need. Its a private home but not secluded, Spacious rooms and common areas and the hosts offers MANY activities for you and your loved ones to be entertained, there's even board games, netflix and good internet service. Wouldn't recommend for todlers/kids but its definitely a place for teens/grownups If you are hesitant about choosing this home TRUST ME choose this location
