The Rio Celeste (Blue River) waterfall in Tenorio Volcano National Park is a breathtaking sight that needs to be seen to be believed.  A chemical reaction between the water and volcanic minerals in the river bed creates a brilliant blue color that belongs in selfies and on postcards.  The 3 hour hike allows you to take in the flora and fauna of the dense rainforest, experience the natural hot springs and visit the area where the water changes from clear to bright blue.  For good reason, the 97 foot waterfall has become one of the most popular attractions in the country and should not be overlooked.

Costa Rica is world-renowned for year-round deep sea sportfishing with the country being home to dozens of sportfishing world records.  Sailfish, Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Roosterfish, Snapper and Grouper are all regularly caught and released off the coast.  Transportation, drinks, snacks, fishing gear and professionally experienced crew are included.  We can accommodate groups from 4 to 15 people on boats spanning 29, 33, 44 and 50 feet.  Lunch is included on full day tours with the 29 and 33 foot boats.  Full service food and beverages are included on full day tours on the larger boats.  Departures are available from Tamarindo and Flamingo.

An estuary is the frontier between saltwater from the ocean and freshwater from rivers and creeks, resulting in a unique, highly biodiverse ecosystem.  Travel by boat or kayak through the estuary’s mangrove forest canals to spy on crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, squirrels and a wide variety of birds including herons and eagles.  On this 2 hour tour, you’ll be accompanied by a certified naturalist who will answer all your questions while revealing the secrets of this strange and fascinating environment.  Explore this threatened tropical environment and find out why they are so important to so many species of plant and animal.

Set sail on the seas in style with a 4 hour catamaran tour.  All drinks are included as you’re served beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages along with snacks and a light lunch.  We’ll navigate the coastal waters and bring you to a secluded bay where we’ll drop anchor and give you time to swim, snorkel, kayak, explore the beach and enjoy the sun.  Afternoon sailings finish the trip by watching the sunset before we head back to dock.  The catamaran has bathrooms, a dedicated area for suntanning and snorkel equipment for everyone.  Choose from morning or sunset tours with departures from Tamarindo or Flamingo.

Palo Verde National Park is world-renowned among bird watchers for its wetlands that act as a home to an awe-inspiring variety of aquatic birds.  This is one of the most densely populated sites of migratory and aquatic birds in all of Central America.  You’re also likely to come across crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and more.  Travel by boat up the Tempisque River to explore this remote sanctuary of avian life in one of the few remaining deciduous dry forests in the Neotropics.  Tour includes transportation, lunch, bilingual guide, park admission and boat tour.  Pick up at 7:30am.  Return at 2:00pm.

Mix sightseeing with exhilaration on this 20 kilometer, guided, white water rafting trip down the picturesque Tenorio River.  The magnificent scenery on this tour is only eclipsed by the adrenaline created by the river.  Keep one eye on the riverbank for monkeys and iguanas with the other eye trained on the water.  You’ll shoot 22 Class III and IV rapids culminating in the famed Class V 12 foot drop off Cascabel Falls.  Bringing a towel and a change of dry clothing is a must on this tour!  We’ll supply snacks and a traditional Costa Rican lunch.  Pick up at 7:00am.  Return at 5:00pm.

If The Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is known for anything, it’s known for its surfing!  There are waves for all levels of expertise, so as long as you can swim, you can learn to surf!  Our experienced, bilingual instructors will show you some of the basics on land before getting you into the water and helping you stand up on your board and ride the waves.  Once you’ve got it down you’ll be unleashed to single out your own waves.  Choose from private or group lessons.  Surfboard rental is included.  Schedules are flexible but will be dependent on the tides.
