Location to the beach and walkable to restaurants along with 24 hour security made this place perfect for me.

Situé parfaitement, très beau logement bien équipé, belle piscine. La sécurité et l’entretien des lieux étaient parfait. Plage, restaurants et épicerie, tout ce fait à pied. Je recommande de prendre les excursions avec Blue Zone, ce fut une super belle expérience et les guides étaient à l’écoute de nos besoins.

Definitely will be back! Loved the privacy of the condo yet it was close to everything.

Great place in a nice surrounding. Short ways to beach and Tamarindo main road. Some problems with the checkin and Wifi. If the owner improve that, the place is great for everyone.

Location of property is excellent! Across the street from the beach, in the heart of Tamarindo - surf lessons, restaurants, bars and shops are just outside of property. Beautiful pool area. Condo was clean, dry and plenty of room - we had only 2 people in our party but could easily accommodate 2 couples. Only problem we had was difficult time checking in as the gate security isn’t helpful and the unit was not easy to find. Once we did find it, getting inside was no problem

This is a great property in a great location. The unit was very clean, well equipped and everything worked as it should. A grill on the balcony would be a nice addition in my opinion; but that does not diminish the 5 star rating.

Hard to beat the location!

By far my the best vacation rental we’ve had in Costa Rica. Sparkling clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Extras like beach chairs, beach towels, small cooler were really appreciated. The best stocked kitchen! Everything we could have expected and more.

Great place one level up from the pool. Had all the amenities you could need. Even a cake pan, so we made a birthday cake. The washer/dryer was super convenient. Great place for a family or a couples retreat.

"Wonderful location."

This condo is in a wonderful location in Tamarindo. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Beach access is across the road. We saw monkeys each morning and each evening in the mango trees. We were on a girls trip and had a fabulous time. The area is very safe. We did have a couple minor issues with the condo, but we couldn't have asked for better service with the Blue Water management company. If we hadn't had a couple minor issues we never would have met Fiorella and Marcelo in the Blue Water office. We had such fun conversations with them. Truly wonderful people. They made our girls trip extra memorable. I also highly recommend booking tours with them as well. We did the Palo Verde tour with Junior as our tour guide. We had so many laughs with him. The tour was excellent, but Junior made the tour one of the best we've ever done. We are looking forward to coming back and staying with them again.

"Nice condo centrally located, great pool, good family spot"

We enjoyed our stay at Sunrise #38. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs. The Blue Water Properties staff, especially Fio, were very helpful. Our Nature Air flight was canceled at the last minute and Fio arranged a driver for us from San Jose as we didn't want to rent a car. She also arranged a secluded beach tour for us with one day's notice. Our main negative comment has to do with the frequent smell of sewer gas in the condo. Two very strong air fresheners had been placed in the laundry closet to mask the smell, but the "fragrance" of the air fresheners was toxic to some of us so we wrapped them in several plastic bags during our stay. Also, the only way to get a cross breeze in the condo was to open the front door, but you lose your privacy if you do that. We've found this a common problem in condos in warm climates in other places as well, so it's not unique to this property. The sewer gas smell is something we've encountered in other countries, such as Mexico, so unfortunately, this is not unique to Tamarindo.

We spent a wonderful week in Sunrise unit #38, which was perfect for the 4 of us. We are pleased with the complex and apartment. The view of the ocean and pool are wonderful. It is steps away from th beach and everything is within walking distance. (No car necessary!). The town is active and we always felt safe, even while walking at night. We have stayed at the Duria and in other places in Tamarindo and Lancosta, but found this place to be the best, especially for the price. We prefer to spend money on day trips and excursions than a fancier apartment. Our unit was clean and updated and included Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, flat screen TV's, grill and towels. The pool area and grounds were well maintained. We highly recommend Sunrise 38 and plan to return.

"Honeymoon Haven"

We spent 10 wonderful days in Tamarindo for our honeymoon. The location was perfect! Sunrise is very close to beach, restaurants, and shops. We stayed in unit #38, which was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great vacation. It even had beach chairs, towels, and a grill for us to use! The view of the pool and the ocean were spectacular. The pool and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We loved the beach, especially at sunset. We’ve already recommended this condo at Sunrise to our friends and look forward to returning!

We returned to Tamarindo and stayed in this beautiful 2 Br/ 2 Bath condo with everything we needed. It was well stocked and working WiFi throughout, with Cable TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher and beach chairs. The view of the ocean and pool were relaxing! The pool and the grounds were well kept. The town is active during the day, but quiet at night. Everything is in walking distance. We used a shuttle service from the Liberia airport and did not need a car. The beach is amazing and there are many grocery stores and wonderful restaurants. We had no problem with the elevator. Blue Water Properties were very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend Unit 38 and Sunrise!

"Sunrise, your next vacation headquarters"

My friend and I enjoyed a Tamarindo vacation during the first week of September 2014. We stayed right across the street from the beach in the Sunrise Condos. A beautiful view of the spectacular pool as well as a glorious blue ribbon of ocean and swaying palm trees could be enjoyed while sipping cocktails on thirty eight's balcony. Sunrise Condos was a perfect base of operations...we'd stroll to grocery stores to pick up breakfast and lunch provisions...and then dine out...many delicious restaurants within walking distance, all featuring outdoor dining (which I love) on covered patios or terraces. Nothing like enjoying a piece of homemade coconut cream pie while watching the surf crash in the moonlight! I would definitely recommend our accommodations...thirty eight was clean, comfortably furnished with plenty of closet space and towels, and featured little extras that made it feel like home...a beach bag to tote your stuff to the beach, a small paperback "borrow one, leave one" library, and recent issues of several popular magazines. Ate most meals on the balcony...comfortable cushioned wicker furniture, a balcony ceiling fan, and the great views mentioned above made it hard to leave. The kitchen is fully stocked with ample glassware, dishes, glassware, more pots and pans than you'll ever need with all the great Tamarindo restaurants, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, and blender. The pool is clean and the cascading waterfall feature (wonderful for a shoulder massage!) lifts it several steps above ordinary. Sunrise features a 24-hour security gate to add to your sense of comfort and well-being. One of the most relaxing vacations I've ever been on...you won't be disappointed!

We just returned from a wonderful week in Tamarindo. We were very pleased with the complex and the unit. We have stayed in other complexes in the past, but found this to be the best place in Tamarindo, especially for the price. We prefer to spend money on day trips and excursions than a fancier condo. It is steps away from the beach and not crowded. The pool area and grounds were clean and well maintained. Our apartment was luxurious, updated & clean, and included everything we needed: Wi-Fi, grill, beach chairs, washer/dryer, flat screen TV's, and all appliances. We slept with the windows open to listen to the waves. The view of the pool and ocean were wonderful! We highly recommend Sunrise and plan to return.
