Plaza Mercado #20 welcomes you! This is a luxury property a few steps from the Beach that is colorful, warm, and elegant, located within the Las Catalinas Development!

This Las Catalinas tropical home offers a spacious common area in which the kitchen, dining, and sitting rooms are integrated to make it easy for a couple or family to spend time together. This is a large and spacious condo with over 2,123 Square Feet a few steps from the Beach! The stylish master suite features a king bed and access to a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. One guest bedroom has a King size bed, while the other has two full-size beds and two twin-size beds, in the form of bunk beds. This property sleeps 8 guests comfortably. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge.

This property has been professionally decorated and features upgraded mattresses, linens, and a fully stocked kitchen that features upgraded wood cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.

Connected to the living area, there is an ocean-view terrace with a small private dipping pool. We provide many bonus items for our guests such as folding beach chairs, a beach cooler, beach towels, salt, pepper, cooking oil, soaps, and shampoo.

Las Catalinas Beach Club

Daily Pass Options:

- Beach Club Adult Pass: At $30 USD + 13% VAT, with $15 redeemable in consumables. Reservations required.

- Beach Club Child Pass (8 to 12 years): $15 USD + 13% VAT, with $10 redeemable in consumables. Children under 8 enjoy free entry with limited access.

- Swim & Gym Pass: $20 USD + 13% VAT for access between 7 am and 10 am only. Perfect for early birds! Hours may vary, and access is limited.

- Visitors Day Pass: $70 USD + 13% VAT - $50 redeemable in consumables, accessible for visitors or anyone staying off condominium premises (Reservations Required), no Seasonal priority Limited Access.

The OFFICIAL ROAD to this property is ROAD #21 BELEN then ROAD #155 to HUACAS and finally ROAD #911 to Playa Potrero and Las Catalinas. NO other ROADS are accessible.
DRONES PROHIBITED: Please note that the use of drones is prohibited due to the regulations of this complex; it is considered a privacy violation
Smoking of any kind is not allowed.
ANIMALS/PETS PROHIBITED: Animal companions, including service animals, are not allowed.
PARKING: The parking lot for two cars is for free. Now parking at our property is autonomously and more environmentally friendly with a reusable card that you’ll receive upon arrival. If the card is not returned or missing, there will be a $50 USD replacement fee. Thank you so much for being a part of our community and for your understanding. Parking on the main road is prohibited.

Construction notice

Las Catalinas is a community in a constant state of growth, and because of this, there will be construction in the area.

6:00 am - 7:30 am: Construction may begin with workers required to speak in low voices and no power tools are allowed
7:30 am - 6:00 pm: Normal construction
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Construction may continue, with workers required to speak in low voices, and no power tools are allowed.

Our guests say that despite the construction going on, it did not affect their stay in the least bit.

Cancellation Policy

Down payment and processing fee are non-refundable. If you cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date and we are able to re-rent the property for your dates at the same rate to another group, we will be happy to refund you 100% minus a 5% cancellation fee. There are NO refunds for holiday weeks and early departures, date changes, late arrivals or no-shows. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival are completely non-refundable.

Deposit Policy

50% down to reserve with balance due 30 days before arrival. We require a credit card authorization on the day of check in for Security Deposit. This authorization drops off within 72 hours after check out if everything is in satisfactory condition.

Rate varies due to seasonality and holidays.

This property was very convenient to restaurants. A bit of a walk to grocery store. Great amenities. The bedroom description is not accurate. There are two very nice masters with king beds. The third one has the 2 bunk sets, perfect for children. They were fairly quick to answer questions. Great help with restaurant & Beach Club reservations and transportation. The Beach Club membership is not included but daily pass is not very expensive. The negative about this property is the bat problem on the roof. Very noisy all times of the day. Noise would wake us up several times during the night. We were in bedroom near bunkbed room. Both rooms were affected. Also living room. Until you are assured that this has been resolved, I wouldn't rent unless you only use master bedroom near kitchen.

The condo is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Rooms and social area are spacious, great layout. Las Catalinas is a fabulous small town, with great restaurants, spa, access to the beach and hiking trails. Will go back!

Everything was perfect. Loved the decor, slept extremely well, loved the pottery barn plates

This place is amazing, we spend our last few days here and it was fab. Dipping pool to swing beds, great stocked kitchen to being spacious to accommodate 4 adults, 2 teens and 2 kids. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and watched sunsets every evening from the beach few meters away. Highly recommended!

Nos gusto mucho la propiedad. El condominio tiene algunas restricciones quedo son muy practicas, mas si vas de vacaciones como que prohiban el uso de BBQ. Se debería aclarar que el uso de la piscina y gym se paga a parte por persona por dia $15

The Mercado 20 condo was very nice and super clean. The terrace has small pool with an ocean view and lots of seating. That was our favorite part. Good wifi for remote work.

This was our first visit to Costa Rica and, while we enjoyed a number of excursions (expertly coordinated by the property manager), we could have easily just stayed in this beautiful home, reading on the porch, listening to the ocean. The Las Catalinas area is delightful and very family friendly with great restaurants, convenient beach access, and easy walkability. Along with a number of thoughtful amenities, the home came with beach chairs and towels which was a nice perk. We loved our visit and look forward to coming back soon!
