The place is nice, good location. However, electric plugs are old and overused therefore getting to charge devises was difficult, water on shower of master bathroom goes all out so its a river of water out of the shower after every taken bath. But the worst and makes me no willing to return again even though this is my 2nd time in this place: after paying $2.500 for 5 days!!!...which is overpriced obviously due to Easter Week....check-in was not until 3pm...therefore 1st day is totally lost, and check out is mandatory at 10am!! not even time to have breakfast when party of 7 people like us...and obviously another complete day that is not used at all. I texted the host in order to ask for at least a noon check-out and never even received an answer. So..$2.500 for 3 days...and to close the deal after almost one week I checked out...I received a formal request of money from the host (Alejandro) for $11 stating that 3 towels had spots that according to his pics they are not visible at all!

Alejandro was very responsive to any of our needs. Went above & beyond what we expected... The beds are very comfortable and very clean and comfortable... This is the place to stay with a unforgettable view❤️

We had a wonderful stay in Tamarindo at the Diria condos! The view was spectacular, you can hear the pool and the ocean at the same time. The sunsets are extraordinary! I loved sitting in the morning watching the waves and the lagoon pool at the same time. It’s a short walk to the beach. At night, we felt very safe. Restaurants are close by! The nightlife is good in Tamarindo. We would definitely return. Thanks to Alejandro!

"They were the best!"

We just returned home to the US after a week in Costa Rica, spending our time in Tamarindo, but enjoying some of the areas around as well. Blue Zone Experience provided the direct rental at the Diria resort, provided pick up and drop off to/from the airport as well as helped coordinate some ATV tours, and just answered any and all questions for us.
I would highly - repeat HIGHLY recommend that anyone travelling to Costa Rica, highly consider using them to help plan your vacation and adventure. From setting us up with some of the best drivers and guides, to having ongoing support easily via text/chat on the site, Kelly was a phenomenal help throughout our vacation.
We had drivers stop at local markets for us to get supplies, stop to show us different plants and animals and generally make us feel at home while enjoying vacation - they were the best!

Conveniently located. Lots of great restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Feedback:
Love being in trees with monkeys and view and large deck
There weren’t as many beds as expected (e.g., there wasn't a room with a queen and a king bed as listed), although it fit our needs (5 adults)
Beds were comfortable
Shower heads in back bedroom and loft need replacing
Safe in main bedroom closet wasn't working; probably needs new batteries?
Steps to pool were many but we agreed it was good exercise :)
Location is excellent for pool, beach, shopping and food
Service and accommodations at property were very good inc pool bartenders / servers; airport pickup and drop off went seamlessly with friendly, careful drivers
Communications were excellent through Airbnb app

The apartment is clean and highly resembles the photos, and the location is very convenient to the rest of Tamarindo. However, a few caveats I'd like to point that you should note before booking, acknowledging our stay was positive overall.

1. The Diria you have access to is dated and run-down compared to the hotel across the street that is on the ocean. Although this listing is purposefully vaguely billed as having access to the Diria resort, you can only access the condo pool (pictured), which is vastly different.

There is a larger Diria resort (hotel) across the street that faces the ocean, and has its own pool, lawn area, fitness studio, etc. Staying here does NOT give you access to any of these areas, and the amenities at the Diria condominiums are lacking. The jacuzzi didn't work, the pool is a ghost town at all times (went in November), and the pool area in general is dated and slightly dirty; everything is not taken care of to the extent of the hotel area.

2. - Check-in was confusing. The address given takes you to a road that the building is inaccessible from. It took talking to three people to find the dirt access road and the random 90 degree turn up a hill to a different parking lot to find it. This has also been brought up in previous reviews, and is easily fixed, so I hope management will take this small step to improve check-in.

3. - The Diria condos on the whole are a bit dated. The lights in the apartment are old, cheap fluorescent bulbs that make it feel like a hospital at night. In addition, half of the bulbs were running out and were flashing on and off for the duration of the stay. This is not to say it was a bad experience, but to temper expectations that you're not getting a five star resort.

Amazing condo right in the heart of Tamarindo! Be aware that there’s quite a few steps to climb to get there from the road, but the payoff of seeing amazing sunsets over the water right from the balcony make them worth it! Place came well equipped with coffee, filters, shampoo, etc which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Tamarindo and values being able to walk to pretty much everything there is to do in town.

The condo is spacious, clean and the location is perfect! The views are magic and the Howler Monkeys in the trees are a real bonus!! The team is great to work with and they are very responsive. We had a wonderful time!

Tamarindo was great the people are great, condo was good, alot of gypsies on the beach asking you to buy something every 10 seconds

Loved our stay! The location was perfect and we had tons of space. The unit was a little tricky to find initially because there are several buildings. However, once we found the right building it was perfect. We loved that we were so close to anything that we needed and the pool was awesome!

Fantastic place! The only problem we had was the place was a little tricky to find since we were driving ourselves. The place itself is amazing and so is the location. Definitely recommend and will be back!!

The view was amazing, the condo was clean and we got to see the monkeys in the trees. The stay was confortable for the 5 of us.

Alejandro's place is as pictured except it's more dated and darker than pictures suggest. Great location and saw howler monkeys right outside the entrance. the community pool is amazing. The kitchen isn't suitable to cook big meals in and the AC was a bit difficult to figure out. An Airbnb booklet with information would have been useful.

The property is in a perfect location. And having access to the pool was a really nice touch. They had a swim-up bar that was really nice and my boys absolutely loved the chicken fingers they had there. Check-in was super easy. I did get a little turned around but have them send you the GPS location and then you won’t have any issues. The balcony is really nice and the sunset view is fantastic. We had our son stay upstairs and he loved it. The dishwasher was a nice touch. So was the washer and dryer. And parking was key. No issues as the property is gated.

We had a great time in this unit. The view is SPECTACULAR!!! All of the amenities in the facility are good, the pool is awesome. We would have enjoyed an elevator, but the stairs did help work off all of the sugary drinks at the pool bar. This unit feels very safe. It is nicely appointed with most everything you should need to be functional on vacation.

Diria 301 was awesome! Perfect location! Everything was walking distance; pool, beach, restaurants, shopping, grocery store, dr.'s office for covid test. There are a lot of steps to get to the condo, however, that didn't bother us. The condo was well equiped, it even had beach chairs, beach towels and an igloo! Communication was awesome with BWP during our stay. If we had an questions, we would receive a response quickly. Would highly recommend DIria 301!

"Paradise with a view!"

Beautiful condo within the El Diria resort. The Condo side is the place to be! Beautiful pools, and views. Condo is fully stocked with plenty of towels, including beach towels, and all of your needs. Condo was very well kept, clean and spacious. Even had a visit from a howler monkey on the roof of the balcony. Location is the best on the beach! Will be staying here again and can't wait to come back!

"Wonderful Stay!"

Our family of 4 adults stayed at the Diria 301 over New Year's 2018/19. We loved the location, right in town and a short walk to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and shops. We found plenty of places to eat while wandering down the beach and never needed reservations. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and the view it offered, especially on New Year's Eve with an amazing fireworks display down the entire stretch of coast. The condo was quiet, very clean, and well equipped - the description and pictures were accurate. Toiletries, dish soap, tissue, paper towels, and cooking oil were provided. (Bring zip lock bags, as flushing tp is not environmentally friendly in CR.) The use of the washer and dryer was great. There were several beach towels in the unit along with beach chairs and a cooler. The beds were comfortable as was the rest of the furniture. Decor was up to date with lots of seating. A/C and wifi worked fine. We felt safe with the gated entrances and security staffing the property. The grounds were well kept. We opened an account at the main Diria Resort front desk so we could use the swim up bar and beach restaurant and closed the tab at the end of our stay (you could also pay as you went). The pools for our complex were clean and the perfect temperature. We tried out the adult pool but preferred the family pool. The 1 family of howler monkeys was only active briefly one morning - fun for our 18 year old daughter to hear as she slept in the front room, our 20 year old son in the loft slept through it. The property manager was prompt with answering our questions and provided excellent customer service - even meeting us at the resort gate instead of at their office to pick up the keys because traffic was terrible coming into town on a busy holiday/concert weekend. They arranged our transport from Monteverde and to Liberia airport which was appreciated. We would definitely recommend staying here.

"Unbeatable location, fantastic views"

Highly recommend this property - fantastic ocean view for sunsets as well as howler monkeys in the trees next door. Great convenient location to a great pool and beach access a block away to one of the best beaches in CR and close to everything in town. Blue Water Properties were wonderful help in booking tours as well as providing information on the condo and area. The only reason this is a 4 instead of a 5 is that there's no dishwasher - not a problem for us 3 couples as someone always did up a few dishes - and we ate most dinners at beachfront restaurants. We really appreciated the 3 bathrooms with 6 people staying. The fabulous location and amenities make this property well worth booking. Pura Vida!
