After an unexpected cancellation of our original booking just a week before our trip, we found ourselves reserving Casa Sunset as a last-minute alternative. To our delight, this “backup” turned out to be one of the best rentals we’ve ever experienced—and we are quite discerning when it comes to our Airbnb selections!

This was our fourth visit to Costa Rica in as many years, and Casa Sunset has undoubtedly become our favorite accommodation. The home’s location is ideal, nestled perfectly between the bustling shopping and beachfront dining of Tamarindo and the picturesque community of Las Catalinas. Having a rental car made accessing these beloved spots effortless.

Beautiful location, sunsets were spectacular, pool was as good as advertised! Entire complex was lovely—although very hilly! Good for a workout walk in the morning. At the end of the stay a few construction projects started in the area, which can’t be controlled, but the construction equipment noise wasn’t the best. Overall a beautiful house, excellent WiFi for work, and terrific location.

I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place. It’s a unique combination of feeling like you’re in the middle of the rainforest while being just a few minutes from many fantastic beaches. And the house has every creature comfort you could imagine. The AC worked great and the pool was wonderful, and the kitchen has everything you need. And Alexandra! She just goes above and beyond to help and make your stay great. You won’t regret choosing this place

Amazing place…it was so private and peaceful. We loved the gorgeous ocean views from the infiniti pool in the spacious backyard. The welcome basket with snacks was nice! The beds were super comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Our concierge Alex was super responsive to our messages regarding some minor issues.

We all agreed this was one of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and hope to come back one day! Wish we could have stayed longer!

We didn’t get the opportunity to stay at Casa Sunset because our flight to Liberia was cancelled with the runway and flooding issues. That did not stop our host from communicating well and being very understanding. They could have added onto an already frustrating and stressful experience, but they were nothing but accommodating and understanding of our situation.

If we ever get a chance to Costa Rica, we will definitely be booking at Casa Sunset.

Photos do not do the sunsets at Casa Sunset justice! Absolutely stunning view! My family loved the infinity pool after a long day on the beach. We cooked in almost every night and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, etc. The house is super private, but still close enough to town ~10 min drive to Playa Conchal and Flamingo. HIGHLY recommend utilizing the Blue Zone concierge service that comes with this property. Alex was so so helpful!! She helped us book a boat tour, private chef, restaurant recommendations, tips, etc. Airbnb is somewhat difficult to find the first time, especially in the dark. Make sure to pay attention to detailed instructions the hosts send as you cannot find the house via Google Maps. And driveway is VERY steep but we had a 4x4 vehicle that could handle no problem. Otherwise, would 10/10 recommend. Airbnb made our stay in CR!

This home was so beautiful. The view is amazing on both cloudy and sunny days. The rain brought a peaceful calm that we enjoyed and the sunset was jaw dropping. The house itself was clean and comfortable. You really do feel at home. We all enjoyed the pool, especially the kids. Don’t hesitate to book.

This place is hands down my most favorite Airbnb I have stayed at (and I have stayed at many both in Costa Rica and around the world!). It’s not just the absolutely stunning view, the cleanliness, and the excellent decorations, but the little touches like the signs, the local artwork, and the small notes that make you feel so at home. I wish I could stay here ALWAYS!

On top of that, the host was fantastic. She was communicative, friendly, and had excellent customer service. I’m so glad we found this place at the last minute and they had availability. Fantastic home and I will definitely stay here again if I find my way back to Guanacaste.

Casa Sunset was the perfect spot for our family vacation to Costa Rica! The location, perched up on the hill overlooking Playa Flamingo, was breathtaking. We enjoyed being able to lounge by the pool after a long day of exploring or beach going and watch the most beautiful sunsets! The house was very clean and had nice, high end finishes. It was a perfect layout for our family of 4. The gated community has some awesome amenities, especially Gracia restaurant, which had the best food in the area and a spectacular view. The team at BZE had excellent communication and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you book Casa Sunset you will NOT be disappointed!

Our stay at Casa Sunset was an incredible experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable vacation. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire trip.

The property was exactly as described in the listing, if not better. The house was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The amenities provided were more than adequate – a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and reliable Wi-Fi, which was essential for us as we needed to stay connected for work. The air conditioning in the home worked incredibly well to escape the tropical climate.

Situated in a private and safe community Casa Sunset offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. It was a short drive from stunning beaches, vibrant local markets, restaurants and popular tourist attractions. The sunsets from the pool deck were breathtaking. Hence the name of the home.

We can’t wait to return to Costa Rica and Casa Sunset!

Breathtaking view! So much to love about this property. The pool, plenty of bathrooms, grill on the pool deck, outdoor and indoor seating. Excellent for a week stay. The kitchen is a little tight so keep that in mind if you’re cooking. Everything was exactly as described with all amenities working well. The provided towels and beach gear was perfect to enjoy time at Playa Flamingo. The driveway is steep but manageable. You’ll completely forget about it once you’re relaxing and enjoying the view.

This was a wonderful place! Clean, private and was wonderfully appointed. It had everything we needed! The outdoor area was amazing. Would highly recommend this place!

Where do I even begin!!!!!!!
This place was an absolute dream!!! My family enjoyed coming out every morning and just drinking coffee and eating breakfast next to the infinity pool overlooking the beautiful ocean!! Sometimes at night we even heard monkeys. The interior design is just beautiful and the rooms and cleaning service is 5 stars!!!!
It’s such a fun friendly atmosphere with everything you could need in the kitchen and even games to play as a family. They also have Bluetooth speakers so you can enjoy music by the pool!
For the last few months, Alex has just been incredible!!! She answered every question daily and she prepared us for the trip of a lifetime!!! She set us up with the best adventures- 3 different excursions!! One was on a volcano- zip lining, horseback riding and detoxifying in the beautiful hot springs!!!! Alex even led us to an amazing driver named Eduardo who was so personable and completely made our trips and each excursions a special memory!! Alex also booked us a chocolate/coffee and a boating tour and I highly recommend all three!!
She is so friendly and excellent at her job!! One of our favorite experiences was hiring her friend Karen who is a singing chef!!! The food was out of this world and Karen is so talented, fun, passionate, and friendly!! Karen gave us a beautiful experience of theater ? and an amazing cuisine!!! We had an absolutely magical week in Costa Rica. This team knows what they’re doing and had us lined up for all the best attractions, restaurants and excursions. The home was amazing and the views were incredible. I’ll treasure this always. Thank you on behalf of my whole family!

We loved Casa Sunset! Our host was incredibly responsive and even helped book our excursion. The pool was amazing and the sunsets were even better. There are some serious hills, so when the rental car place asks if you’d like the car with more power, TAKE IT! We just left today and already miss it!

Casa Sunset is a fantastic home. From the moment we walked in, we had all the comforts and then some of home. The house has amazing natural lighting and is open and airy; and immaculately clean. It is well located near local towns, beaches, stores, restaurants; we had a rental car to travel around the surrounding area. Close to lots of activities but still located in a quiet, beautiful, and peaceful gated community. The views and especially the sunsets from the house and infinity pool are absolutely gorgeous.
Alexa and Rebecca are both very responsive and friendly, available to help with any needs and questions we might have had. A big thank you to both for helping to make our first trip to Costa Rica and stay at Casa Sunset such a wonderful experience.

Casa Sunset was so beautiful and peaceful. The view was breathtaking and the infinity pool was beautiful. The house was spotless, comfortable, and felt like home as it was stocked with everything we possibly needed. We felt extremely safe with the security at the gate. This was such a beautiful experience and I highly suggest staying here. As well, the hosts are extremely responsive, helpful, and suggested some good activities.

It was so perfect for my husband and I. We enjoyed having our friends from Flamingo enjoy sunset and cocktails with us from the backyard. It was clean and comfortable. Alexa was super helpful. We did have some trouble with the front door locking properly but someone came out to help. We stayed Dec 6 & 7. We loved the plants/landscaping.

Amazing house with an amazing view and amenities. The house met our expectations, we really enjoyed the beautiful pool and gorgeous indoor spaces. The place was somewhat hard to find for us (we came in in the evening), but we asked the security guard at the gate and he had someone drive us there without delay. If you are looking for a luxurious home base for exploring the beaches this place is an excellent choice.

There is a reason this villa is called casa sunset because the sunset and sunrise were beautiful! This villa was beautiful, the pictures did not do the view justice. Alex the concierge was amazing I would not have had such a smooth experience if it wasn’t for her amazing planning and responsiveness, she made my birthday vacation so worth it. The town of Playa Flamingo was really nice although we spent most of our time in Tamarindo which is about a 30 minute drive. I’m really big on safety and the villa is in a gated community with 24/7 security. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

Great house and beautiful views!

This place is awesome, pics don’t do it justice ! I was little nervous driving out but it was worth every minute. You’ll definitely need a car to navigate the area but it is very centrally located. The kitchen is full stocked, we literally blended drinks and swam for most of the trip. We will likely book again!

We had a wonderful visit. The service and welcome basket with coffee was excellent! Our place was clean and beautiful, with touches that made it feel like home. And the view of the the sunsets was amazing! We will be back.

The home was beautiful and private with pristine views and a lovely neighborhood. It’s very close to the new marina in Flamingo where there are great restaurants and a lovely area. We loved eating at Gracia Mar Vista right in the neighborhood. Super safe, clean and lovely.

My fam and I stood in this incredible home with an outstanding ocean view. The pool area with lots of sitting was my favorite spot. It was super clean and it even came with snacks. It was super close to restaurants and the beach. Very secure. Super recommended!

The view was breathtaking and the house was so comfortable and had everything we absolutely needed! Very clean and organized and even had games for our family to have a friendly game night! I encourage anyone even slightly considering staying here to GO FOR IT! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

We had a wonderful few days at the Sunset House! From beginning to end the communications and information was super fast and friendly. They were always available and proactive to reach out with information.

The house was perfect for us - spotless and clean. Very modern! The beds were comfy and the bathrooms perfect. We especially loved that there were a few games provided to play in the evenings.

The best feature of the home however is the amazing views! The view from the pool looking out to the ocean is wonderful and the sunsets are spectacular! It’s a nice quite location but it’s only about a 10 min drive down to the beach.

This is someplace I’d love to stay again.
