Fantastic villa in the hills with great ocean view from all rooms. Was even better than expected. The kids and we as well, loved the pool. The space in the house was modern, comfortable, spacious and luxurious. We loved our stay of three nights with a family of 5. Close to Brasilito and short drive to Tamarindo. 100% recommended!

What a beautiful experience all around! We stayed at Casa Serena in the gated Mar Vista area. The view and the infinity pool was why I chose this location and it did not disappoint. The house had a perfect layout for our family of 6 and it had all the amenities we needed. We spent a lot of time in the pool and enjoyed the ocean view. Alex was our go to for everything we needed via WhatsApp. She helped us with check in, renting a golf cart, airport transportation, in home chef, and booking a catamaran tour. Alex was the cherry on top that made our experience the ultimate best! I would absolutely use blue zone experience to book another stay!

The house was beautiful, the pictures don't do justice. It has an amazing ocean view and everything you need to have a great time. They thought about everything! Alexandra was amazing and always responsive and helpful! Would definitely stay there again!

The restaurant within Mar Vista was delicious and affordable compared to other restaurants we visited, and the kids loved using the pool as we waited for food. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very nice place, the place is better than the pictures. The kitchen is very well equipt. The place is about 20 - 30 min from many nice beaches. The place comes with some beach gear that was very useful during our stay.

Amazing place

Great place in a great spot

This was my third trip to Costa Rica and my third time in the Tamarindo / Playa Flamingo area and the first time in Costa Rica for my fiance and our friends. We absolutely loved the place. We expected we were going to have a great time and enjoy Casa Serena, but we were blown away. My fiance and I flew into Liberia, picked up our rental car and easily found the place on our own using maps on our phones. The security personnel at the front gate were very helpful and we found the Casa Serena unit easily from their directions. The next day our friends arrived (another couple) to stay with us and they were equally if not more impressed. We were very pleased to see that Casa Serena was even better in person than the pictures online. The unit was much larger than we expected, especially the main kitchen / living room area, which was great for us as we love to cook and hang out in the kitchen. We loved the big island in the open concept kitchen as a place to hang out as a group. What the pictures don't show is that the place has nice high ceilings and is very well lit and each room has its own TV, air conditioner with a remote and its own ceiling fan. We also really enjoyed sitting by the infinity pool and using the area around it to sunbath. The amenities were equally impressive. The restaurant and bar that has its own pool is an amazing place to have a drink and watch the unbeatable "gold coast" sunsets. We noticed that lots of people brought their own fish that they caught to the restaurant to have them prepare it for them, which is a really nice touch. The hiking trails on the property were really good, although not necessarily for beginners! We took full advantage of the local fruit markets, grocery stores and other great restaurants around Playa Flamingo that you recommended. It was great to have a nice full-sized fridge that was more than big enough for the four of us. Since we had rental vehicles, we were able to explore around Playa Flamingo and Tamarindo and we didn't come across any other place that seemed like a better fit for us than Casa Serena. Everyone was friendly to us and we felt extremely safe at all times. This was easily the best vacation rental we've ever had and we definitely plan on coming back to stay at Playa Flamingo. We would highly recommend others to stay at Casa Serena. Thank you very much for all your help!

The stay was great. The photos of the stay were exactly as pictured. We had an insect and scorpion issue the first couple of days, and the property manager, Alex, was great with coordinating cleaning and fumigation of the place while we were out on excursions and even assisted with booking some of the excursions! The last few days there were no critter issues and I made some great memories with friends while celebrating my 30th birthday here.

The house was beautiful and was just as described on Airbnb! I loved the house but Alex honestly made our visit so much more amazing! She was such a great help and resource for all of us for everything! She helped us book a local cook, who we loved! She also helped us book on sight massages in the home! I even left my passport in the Airbnb after we checked out and the Airbnb was an hour from the airport, Alex got someone to bring me my passport! Please book this house, not only is it gorgeous but how personable Alex is makes it so much better! Pura Vida

Casa Serena was the perfect house for our relaxing trip. The view throughout the day and the sunset hours were gorgeous. We also really enjoyed how close we were to town and to Gracia Restaurant. As others have mentioned, there are homes under construction very close by, it wasn't a huge issue, but it's something to consider.

Casa Serena is a beautiful home and our family of 5 enjoyed our time there. A few thing to note: WiFi was not reliable, very hilly neighborhood with difficult accessibility to on site restaurant and gym. Recommend renting a car as taxis are expensive and golf carts are not readily available due to steep terrain. Otherwise the pool, the view and overall accommodations are wonderful. 30 mins from Surfing/shopping town of Tamarindo and the fishing out of Playa Flamingo was excellent. Highly recommend having any fresh catch cooked at Coco Loco restaurant in Playa Flamingo.

Beautiful view from this clean and comfortable home! Loved the layout and amenities. WiFi was out when we arrived, but someone came within in minutes and had it restored. There is construction nearby, which I was concerned about, but it didn’t bother us at all. If I were to build a vacation home, this is exactly what I would want!

Pura Vida!! The house itself is lovely. The view is impressive, Mar Vista is delightful and the walking tails are very cool. BUT the house is surrounded by construction. There are three homes being built within a stones throw. Construction begins at 6:50am and wraps up at 4:50pm six days per week. It will be the perfect spot in about two years. Until then, if you are looking for tranquility during the day, this is not your spot

Great place and value

The pictures do not do this place justice. We had an amazing time the location is perfect very close to all the major beaches and towns with restaurants nearby. If you stay in the flamingo area try papaya great restaurant. The house was beautiful clean throughout we had an excellent experience

Hidden gem amazing place amazing view had all the essentials you would need if you were wanting to cook at the house to grilling on the back porch and relax pool side also beach towels & chairs if you were heading to the beach..all the bedrooms had there own bathroom..A great place to stay felt just like home I did not want to leave!!!

The pictures do not do casa Serena justice. We were all in heaven all week. The view is incredible, close to flamingo, Brasílito and conchal beaches. Nothing is really walking distance but all very close.
We also had a private chef Luigi one night who was incredible!
10/10 recommend staying here

This is a large, extremely clean, nicely air conditioned. Great pool. Great view. Just as pictured. They expertly coordinated a zip line tour for us. We had a great stay.

It seems they only respond to messages during business hours, so that is good to keep in mind.

Everything about this experience was just wonderful. From the check in to the check out, it was easy and straightforward. The location was great for our day trips around Guanacaste and the home itself was well appointed and had spectacular views. It was superbly quiet at night and on the weekend. I would definitely seek out this home on another visit to this region.

Pictures do not do this home justice!! We booked Casa Serena for our son's graduation trip during spring break. There were 5 of us including a 15, 18, and 19 year old. We had plenty of space and the outdoor area was our favorite place to eat breakfast and hang out in the evenings. We even heard the howler monkeys one night during sunset. We all enjoyed the pool and the beautiful views of the ocean. The beach was an easy drive (less than 10 minutes). We also loved the food at the restaurant in the community (Gracia) and ate there a couple times.

Alejandro and the management company were easy to communicate with and very responsive.

A great view of the ocean with secure access to a lovely, well-appointed home! All amenities included. Comfortable beds and exceptional communication with host. Convenience and luxury!

We have visited over 30 countries (which translates into a lot of AirBNBs) and this has been one of our favorite places to stay. Everything was superb! Bluewater Properties manages this property and does an excellent job with customer service. As a lawyer and business owner myself, I was beyond impressed with the efficiency of how this property is managed. Additionally, we are looking to purchase property in CR and Bluewater was quick to get back with us on all the questions we had. I highly recommend the villa. From the immaculate accommodations to the exquisite ocean views, you will not be disappointed.

The house is new construction and absolutely beautiful. Very convenient to local beaches and restaurants. There is a detailed book in the house that tells about local restaurants and attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook anything we wanted. The security in the neighborhood was very comforting and the house could be locked up tight. Amazing property in a great area.

This Airbnb was amazing! Everything from the view to the location and the ambience of the home was great. Another plus was it being writing a secure gated community. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a gorgeous house with a great view. Pictures on site are accurate. The house has a lot of amenities. Having a car is convenient as things are not walking distances and the taxi is expensive. Security does not know where the house is after providing the address and house name. Unfortunately, they were unable to help drivers locate the house. To our surprise we had a gardner show up during our stay to do work all day.

Lovely house, great location and view. Very comfortable, easy check in. The only complain is that there is no emergency service after 5pm, so if anything happens/fails by then, you would need to wait till the following day. Besides this, I totally recommend it!
